I thought I would try something new. In this post, I invite all my readers to ask me ANYthing about yours truly, Papabear (Grubbs Grizzly). You can ask me anything about the fandom, my furry experiences, and even my personal life.

You have opened yourselves up to me, and now it is my turn to do so for you.

So, ask me anything!

Just click the little Comments link to the left and leave your question. I will post the reply here. Make sure you activate the Notify Me button.

Well, what's this? No questions?

I'll jump in - what is your take on true greymuzzles (i.e. over fifty or, heaven forbid, sixty) in the fandom, both personally and in general?

As an over sixty fur with those dreaded 'co-morbidities' (I'd like to meet one in my age category that doesn't have one or more), I'm covid cautious but still do a lot with reasonable precautions. But furcons feel like a stretch for me, with travelling and large crowds of young folk taking few if any precautions.

Yours in furry community,

- Critter

Hi, Critter,

So, if I'm to understand your question, you're wondering what role older furries (50 and up) can or should take in the fandom? Well, as with anyone in the fandom, I think that is up to you. If health problems prevent you from partaking in, say, fursuit parades at a furcon, there are many more sedentary activities you can do. For example, if you're a gamer (table top or video) you can certainly do THAT even if you have mobility issues, and gaming is very popular with furries. You can write, draw art, create a furry business, and more. You can organize a furmeet at home (so you don't have to travel). You can try and mentor younger furries (as I do with this column). You can start a YouTube vlog. It's really endless. If I'm not understanding you correctly, please clarify. thanks, Critter!
