The Good Egg Award This prize is for furries who do charitable and other volunteer work, such as helping out at furcons, raising money for animal charities, or doing work in their non-furry communities.
Crowned feline (a.k.a. Lazuli, a.k.a. Snax) has put her time, energy, and heart into organizing, volunteering, and participating in furry dance events that have brought many fandom members together. The success of events like floor wars, battle zoo, instinct Pittsburgh, and fur grounds are only a few in this past year that have benefited from crowned feline's efforts. She's a good furry yes she is!
Eddie Bear:He is a great person who has volunteered at furcons and other events. Hosts informative panels at furcons. And is always willing to help fursuiters in case of a suit malfunction at a con.
Joe "Bear" Goria:For his outstanding charitable work, contributions and being a positive influence in the furry community. Joe's charitable work to help encourage the annual ALS walk as well as "Furry Awareness" to our world and the entire universe far surpasses efforts of the Average Bear!
Keplin: Keplin has been a positive and uplifting presence in the furry community for years. His kindness and empathy extend beyond the fandom, as he continuously radiates positive energy to everyone he meets. Keplin is genuinely caring, always offering support and a listening ear to those who need it. He has volunteered his time outside of work to support oncology patients, providing comfort and companionship during challenging times. Additionally, Keplin participated in fundraising efforts, including walks to fight ALS, honoring the legacy of Dogbomb. What truly sets Keplin apart is his unwavering commitment to helping others, especially during moments of crisis. In our community that has faced heartbreaking losses due to mental health struggles, Keplin stepped in to save a life. He provided a safe space and much-needed support to a furry friend who was on the brink of suicide, de-escalating a dire situation with compassion and understanding. His actions have made a profound impact, helping someone navigate through their darkest moments. Currently, Keplin is on his path to becoming a doctor, where his dedication to helping others will undoubtedly continue to make a positive difference, both within the furry community and beyond. Hope this nomination will help more people recognize what good he has accomplished/ will be doing!
Kofu Lion: I'd like to nominate Kofu for the Good Egg Award this year for being an outstanding, generous and compassionate furry and friend. For the last several years (since 2019, if memory serves me) Kofu has been actively involved in the fight against ALS--running streams and campaigns online, organizing the Raleigh-Durham furry presence with our local ALS chapter, raising tons of money, printing t-shirts for our teams, and participating in other teams' efforts, lifting them up as well At the same time, Kofu has helped coordinate local events, connected furries who have a common interest (he introduced me to my motorcycle furs friends!), and attended local Pride events. He always seems to know what's going on, and we joke that he is the Social Chair for the area. In addition to all that, he is staff with NCAS (North Carolina Anthro Society) which runs two conventions in the state, and volunteers at others (lots of long hours working reg at anthrocon year after year!). Personally, he is generous with his time with friends, strangers, furries, normies, and will strike up a conversation with anyone, or offer an ear or a shoulder to a friend in need. It's hard to put into words the things that I think make Kofu an exceptional candidate for the Good Egg award. I think he exemplifies the qualities of a Good Furry and often does it without any recognition. The world would be a better place with more Kofus in it.
Mango Peach:"Mango is one of the most kind and caring souls. He will go out of his way to make sure you have a good and healthy life filled with happiness. He has just moved back with his family and already helped with church and community volunteer work. He has volunteered to help place tombstones in the local cemetery and helped with the Light the World project. As for his friends, he’ll always be there for them in thick and thin. If you’re having a horrible day, he’ll put your happiness above his own. He just started streaming on Twitch and already has a huge following of people who love him and care for him. He’s been nominated for this award multiple times, and I’ll keep nominating until he wins. He’s currently trying to find a job so he can help out more in his community, and he’s volunteering at his brother’s live theatre."
Mango Peach (2nd nomination): Mango is one of the most exemplary people I know. He’s going out of his way to make sure there’s food in the homeless shelters and makes sure people can get rides to where they need to be. He has no job or stable income but is always putting others before him. Mango is one person you need to meet and have in your life. He’s kind, sweet, caring, and will make sure you have a wonderful day.
Manick: "Manick has gone out far and beyond year after year helping with WPAFW [Western PA Furry Weekend], running the yinz furs [a furmeet] and helping with the Pittsburgh bowl. He is now the chair cat of WPAFW, and without his leadership, there woudn't be a WPAFW. Each year, they try to raise money to help an organization. Last year was Paws Across Pittsburgh. WPAFW has been going strong since 2010ish to current. It started out of the garage in someone’s house, then expanded to what it is today."
Onix:Onix has been a very active and loud member of the community for over a decade!! From running and organizing all of the events and parades for her local furry groups to staffing for multiple big conventions across Canada, she’s dedicated a big part of her life to the fandom and her community. This year she’s done something extraordinary, bringing attention to an unfortunate cause. She’s taken over the annual charity walk for the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada after the event was cancelled in the nearby city! This cause is sadly a very close one to her as she suffered a great loss due to it earlier in the year. This event means so much to her and she’s organized it, planned and fundraised for it all on her own! As well as this she’s been a part of Extra Life and fundraising for them for 8 years!! All in all, I think Onix has done some extraordinary work for charity and deserves the title of Good Egg :)
Papa Woof Roth: Papa Woof, aka Tyger, has for decades worked in a variety of rolls in the community. Not only planning events in the local St. Louis area but also on the exec team of the Mephit Fur Meet. He has time and time again done so much to help keep Furry going in a positive direction. I would really love to see him finally get the kudos he deserves.
Paul Coon: They where helping Dragoneer in person to the best of their ability, and helping run FA.
Ronnie Noodles: I am thrilled to nominate Ronnie Noodles for the Good Furry Award - Good Egg Award category, recognizing their extraordinary and multifaceted contributions to the furry fandom. Ronnie has demonstrated unparalleled dedication and service across numerous facets of the community, making a profound and positive impact both at conventions and beyond. Conventions and Volunteer Work: Ronnie Noodles has been a pillar of support for various conventions, starting with their work on the Programming Staff at Motor City Fur Con and IndyFurCon from 2014 to 2017. Their commitment expanded significantly when they joined Anthrocon as a Programming Staff member in 2014. Ronnie’s role evolved into the Director of Digital Services from 2021 to 2024, where they have been pivotal in enhancing the convention's digital engagement, streamlining operations, and enriching attendee experience through innovative tech solutions. In addition to their role at Anthrocon, Ronnie served as the Communications Manager for Furnal Equinox from 2014 to 2019, followed by their role as Hotel Liaison from 2019 to 2022. Their exceptional management ensured seamless communication and coordination between the convention and its attendees, enhancing overall satisfaction and efficiency. They have been a driving force in charity fundraising efforts, organizing and participating in charity shows across multiple conventions. Their involvement in ALS Charity walks in 2022 and 2024, and the Rat Race Marathon for Cancer Research in 2018, highlights their dedication to supporting causes outside the furry community. Educational Contributions: Since 2011, Ronnie has been a valued panelist at various conventions, offering educational panels on dance tutorials, fursuit performance, and fursuit care. Their expertise and enthusiasm have educated and inspired countless attendees, fostering growth and skill development within the furry fandom. Furry Dance Community: Ronnie’s influence extends internationally through their role as a competition judge, host, organizer, and mentor in the furry dance community for over 14 years. Their guidance and support have nurtured talent and helped elevate the quality and enjoyment of furry dance performances around the globe. Media and Streaming Support: Outside of conventions, Ronnie, as Zeke Hyena, has created the "HowNot2Basic" series on YouTube, offering valuable information and guidance to new congoers. (YouTube Link of "HowNot2Basic": https://youtu.be/2p2-gWD_UGo?si=e_zzT9eP8BMmAJSL) Their efforts have made navigating the convention experience more accessible and less daunting for newcomers. Additionally, Ronnie has supported the furry streaming community by moderating for several notable furry streamers on Twitch.tv since 2019, ensuring a positive and engaging environment for viewers. Conclusion: Ronnie Noodles embodies the spirit of the Good Furry Award through their tireless dedication, exceptional contributions, and profound impact on the furry fandom. Their unwavering commitment to service, education, and charitable causes, combined with their ability to inspire and support others, makes them an exemplary candidate for this prestigious recognition.
Shutter: Shutter dedicates his recreational life to finding/promoting/volunteering for events. He's a photographer who selflessly gives his time to capturing memories for countless events and then uploads them, for free, online with proper credits/tags for the furs. He runs Ohio Fur Events chat and constantly seeks out new entertainment for his Ohio fur friends. He promotes a safe space and attitude of inclusion to all under his sphere of influence. Shutter has fallen victim to bad circumstances and never lashed out. He's never asked anything of the fandom. He has legitimate talent. Please consider Shutter as a good furry.
Toronto: This furry has put an immense effort into building up the Cardiff furry scene over the last couple of years, putting so much time, effort, and a ton of his own money into developing one of the UK's premier furmeets! It has grown from just six furries meeting in a dusty pub during the pandemic to over 150 attendees in a bangin' city centre bar with live DJ, fursuit games, parade, video game tournaments, and so much more! The furmeets are a welcoming safe space for a lot of folk who otherwise would have nobody to socialize with, and attract attendees from across the UK, and even mainland Europe! Most folks don't realize how much work goes on behind the scenes, and I feel he deserves a little recognition for that!
The Image Award This prize goes to furries who present a positive image of the fandom through the media, including YouTube videos, documentaries, vlogs, podcasts, websites and other similar means of communication.
BetaEtaDelota: "I’ve been following this awesome fur for a few years now, and I think his in-depth analysis and explanations of the furry community, including dissecting the anti-fur arguments that arise, are endearing and educational to all new furs and existential ones! Regardless of your sona or species, he’s delved into many different things, ranging from what it is to be a furry to fur icons and suit makers to furry convention experiences! I’ve never felt more informed and well-off about embracing my fursona and identity and wanting to explore it more with hope I’ll be welcomed than when I listened to his videos and started reaching out to other furries!"
Finn the Panther: They do wonderful YouTube videos about all aspects of the fandom. Everything to fursuit types, or inner-fandom relations with others, or maintaining a healthy balance of fandom stuff vs RL stuff. It's just very practical stuff that could be really useful for someone who is new to the fandom.
Jib Kodi: Jib is the most amazing furry who made so many furs laugh and cry with his animations - his drawings seem to be really alive. his animations are sometimes weighing in on social issues too, which is very memorable when done with cute animals. he also often donates animations to charity auctions and never gets involved with drama.
Joe Strike: Joe Strike (aka Comus) has contributed immeasurably to the furry fandom. As one of the earliest members, he has seen it evolve and done so much to offer art (the universe of Circe's Funhouse and other transformation-related art), written material (Furry Nation and Furry Planet, in addition to several articles and essays on animation and its history), and videos ("The Incredible Hare", several interviews, and promotional materials). In all these mediums, Joe has always found the best in furry and its members to share with the rest of the world, and he has become a true ambassador in connecting with specific members who have contributed uniquely themselves (Charleston Rat, the Prancing Skiltaires, Uncle Kage, Spottacus). Joe Strike takes a proactive approach in connecting with any individuals he finds (through intensive research) who are connected with positive furry themes in some way, which further spreads out furry's positive vibes to the rest of the world. He has made this possible specifically through his two books (mentioned previously), both of which took a few years each of intense dedication and research (and even more interviews). As a result, he has received personal thanks from several readers who tell him personally how much the books and even his past contributions (e.g., the Funhouse) have helped them through difficult times. Joe Strike deserves the Image Award fully for his contributions to making furry universal, positive, and universally positive.
Joe Strike (2nd nomination): For all the reasons already listed in the first nomination. I just wanted to second that. For me, it was Furry Nation that introduced me to him, and I found that book invaluable in learning about the history of the fandom! I also enjoyed his most recent book Furry Planet.
Taebyn: Taebyn is always full of positive Pup Energy and is always giving hugs and entertaining at every con he attends. He hosts multiple panels at every con and generally espouses the positiveness of the furry community. He is cohost of "Bearly Furcasting Feat. Taebyn" at Bearly Furcasting feat. Taebyn (buzzsprout.com).
Tyger: Because Tygre is a great furry and she is trans has a EP out and is does twitch and has her own radio channel on twitch and YouTube called scratch radio
Zeekayart (Zee the Raccoon): Zee, the totally original purple raccoon started on TikTok and used her YouTube channel as a backup for those videos, little did she know her presence on the platform would explode at a rate not seen in Furry YouTube in a while. Zee's top 5 YT shorts all hit over 1.5 million views! Zee's videos are well done, colorful, informative, and just downright funny. She makes silly videos or give amazing advice and insight to the fandom. With her background in cosplay for many years, she brings the two fandoms together! Because of this I know she deserves the Image Award.
The Furtastic Award This prize is basically for furries doing good works that don't easily fall into the first two categories. It could also apply to a furry who you believe is just an all-around wonderful, lovely person, even if they might not do charity work or do something in the media.
Hope "Strype" Ironheart: [the person who nominated them wrote] Recently, I was in a bad place/bad position. I was living in abusive conditions with my family. It was a toxic environment and toxic relationship. Hope put together a funding campaign and was able to help get me raised enough money to escape my family and escape my situation for the start of a better life. But this is what she does without warrant for accolades. She does what she should because she's an amazing humanist. She encourages others to walk their journey. Follow their path. She has taught people, like me, so much of what it means to be a person in the guise of a synthetic tigress. Hope is a one of a kind. Caring. Compassionate. Humorist. Kind. Loving. Patient. Encouraging. She helped me to realize I was trans. Then helped me to find the path needed to start my transition. She was always patient with my questions giving me detailed answers without sugar coating or coaxing me, ever, to transition. Please. If you consider someone for furry of the year--Its Hope. She's one of a kind. She's supported so many people without ever even asking for anything in return. I can't thank her enough- without her I wouldn't likely be "here" today.
Lucifur: Nomination for Lucifur for the Good Furry Award – The Furtastic Award I would like to nominate Lucifur for the Good Furry Award – The Furtastic Award because they have done so many wonderful things for the furry community. Lucifur’s actions show just how caring and helpful they are, making a big difference in many ways. Lucifur got involved in the furry community around 2021, starting with FurryDelphia. They began a special activity where they bring beads and string to conventions so everyone can make their own bracelets. This started as a small hobby but has grown into a big event at conventions like WPAFW 2021 and Midwest FurFest 2021. Lucifur now organizes the entire event, providing all the materials and teaching people how to make bracelets. They also added raffles and egg hunts, which makes the event even more fun and exciting. Lucifur goes above and beyond to help at conventions. For example, at AnthroNewEngland 2024, they took orders for Starbucks drinks backstage at the dance competition because they wanted to make sure everyone was happy and had what they needed. They often bring snacks, help with water runs, and assist fursuiters at conventions. Their hard work helps everyone enjoy the convention more. Lucifur’s kindness doesn’t stop at conventions. At their job at a grocery store, they have paid for groceries for people, given out bracelets, and offered hugs to those who needed comfort. They’ve even helped a woman who was grieving and just needed someone to talk to and hug. When a friend had a car accident, Lucifur drove five hours to help them. They finished making a fursuit, helped clean up, and moved luggage. This shows how much Lucifur cares about their friends and is always ready to help. Lucifur’s efforts to make conventions better, their personal acts of kindness, and their creative events have had a huge impact on the furry community. They are always looking out for others and making sure everyone has a great time. Lucifur truly deserves The Furtastic Award for all they do to help and support others. Their creative fun, helping at conventions, kindness in everyday life really make them a furstastic individual and amazing part of the furry community. For their fantastic contributions, Lucifur is a perfect choice for this award.
Strype (Nomination 2): Strype, otherwise known as Hope, is a wonderful and proud member of our fandom. She is a guiding light for those around her as a trans woman whom selflessly gives support to her brothers and sisters through moral guidance, a girl whom leads by example, and devotes time to debunking myths and rumors about the fandom and gender identity. Her personal philosophy, Loves Conquers All, reigns thru her actions discussions and most importantly herself. She is the best our fandom has to offer. There are likely dozens of people whom have been directly impacted by her work. Not once has she sought attention nor recompense nor accolades for her crusade of gender equality. Without her people would still be suffering. She functions as a peer that’s reasonable and approachable. She shares her transition with courage. The lady is an open book for others to seek out as reference material. Her art is as devious as she is. A fandom author. She’s a leader. She’s a peer. She’s humble. She’s the best we have to offer. Please consider this person as a very good egg.
Hund the Hound: (writes the nominator) I’m currently homeless and unemployed after I left my family (gaslighting/emotional abuse). Hund and his family have supported me when I needed it the most by inviting me into their home, helping me find a job, giving me shelter pro bono, feeding me, helping me get medical coverage for my gender transition, even working on getting my car fixed up. This is without expectation of payback. Hund has supported me for years, but he and his family’s generosity cannot be overlooked. Of those who have supported me, he has been an emotional rock for my needs and I am forever grateful. He’s a furry YouTuber, convention organizer (World Wild Fur Camp), and a loving provider to his family. He’s been a close friend for years, but there’s a difference between close friend and someone who will just take you in during your darkest moments.
Kraken D Waggin:Kraken is an absolute rock, a pillar of our community. He is very kind, super supportive, brings no drama, zero judgement, and is the kind of friend everyone needs. He gives up so much of his time to check in on his friends and carry them through their trauma, their highs and lows, and actually be there whether or not you gave him that promised update on how you’re doing. He has genuine love and concern for people to the point he is always proactively reaching out to let people know he’s thinking about them; and offering them his time to quietly talk things through, keep you company or help you with your problems. He also volunteers his time to support other creator friends with his voice overs, his editing skills, and his wonderful disarming and charming sense of humour. We all need a Kraken - and those who do have him wouldn’t be where we are without him. He truly is a good egg.
Photographotter donated a kidney to his good furry friend Hiyu, who suffered from kidney failure and was on almost constant dialysis. While he was scared, he travelled halfway across the world and spent a month away from his girlfriend and friends to do this. He also missed NFC. He did this off his own back. He's a brilliant person and a good example of what we as a fandom are about. Both he and Hiyu are making good progress in recovering btw.
Spottacus Cheetah: I don’t know him personally, but he developed the green light heart rate monitor… an absolute lifesaver at times. He’s been in the fandom for many years and wears his suits to the office. I find him to be an amazing person and definitely fur friendly
The Royal Rebellion: "They’re a lifeguard at the place I interned at. They’re hardworking and positive. They’ve told me stories of their time working the very last years of Raging Waters before they shut down, gotta say, they’re truly a hero, I don’t think I’ve the guts to work in a fast paced environment like that without fail. I know it’s an easy job to get, but in reality, it’s almost tue same as being an EMT… saving lives."
